Buying facial cleansers can be kind of difficult. For me most of the time it's more about how pretty the bottle is. I've tried so many different drugstore cleansers. Which is why I'm going to start doing blog reviews of the different cleansers I try so you don't have to waste your money trying them out! You're welcome ;)
I'm going to start with my most recent pick: Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser.
First off what it says it will do: "This foaming cleanser helps improve skin's tone and texture and clears up blemishes without overdrying, leaving skin soft, smooth and even-looking. this mild formula won't clog pores and is gentle enough for sensitive skin".
I have oily skin and not very much acne (a zit here and there on occasion) So what I look for in a cleanser is something to remove my makeup, prevent breakouts and leave my skin feeling fresh an clean. My first impression of this product was that I really liked the foam. The pump let out just enough product and I liked how easily it lathered. It is definitely gentle and I think would work really well for sensitive skin. That's about where the good remarks end. After washing my face with this I never got the refreshing clean feeling you get with a really good cleanser. It took off all visible makeup but I still felt like my face wasn't completely clean. I used this product for about a month and a half and it did not do a very good job preventing acne. It definitely didn't break me out (like I said, it's very gentle) but it didn't stop the few spots from appearing.
Overall I think this cleanser would be great for people with sensitive skin to use as a morning cleanser. For acne prevention and makeup removal on the other hand I would find a different cleanser.
